Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 4 September 2026
Privacy summary
My Pharmacy is designed as an offline-first app. Core pharmacy records are stored locally on the Android device. The Developer does not operate a cloud database for those records and does not routinely receive or access the user's local pharmacy database.
1. Introduction
My Pharmacy ("the App") is an offline-first pharmacy management and point-of-sale (POS) application for Android. It helps pharmacies manage products, batches, inventory, purchases, suppliers, manufacturers, sales, refunds, cash shifts, expiry tracking, reports, printing, backup, import, export, and related business operations.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App. By using My Pharmacy, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
2. Information Stored by the App
The App may store business and operational data entered or generated by the user, including:
- Product names, generic names, categories, barcodes, pack sizes and reorder levels.
- Product-level prescription-required flags.
- Manufacturer and supplier information.
- Batch numbers, quantities, purchase costs, selling prices and expiry dates.
- Purchase invoices, purchase items and supplier payment records.
- Sales, invoice information, quantities, discounts, tax, totals and refunds.
- Payment method labels such as cash, card or UPI/digital.
- Cash shift information, opening float, expected cash, closing cash and variance.
- Stock adjustments, write-offs, valuation and expiry information.
- App settings such as theme, accent color, currency, pharmacy information and printing configuration.
3. Optional Customer Information
During checkout, the App provides optional fields for a customer's name and phone number. A sale can be completed without entering this information.
If the pharmacy operator chooses to enter a customer name or phone number, that information is stored locally as part of the related sales record. The Developer does not remotely collect this information.
4. No Patient or Medical Records
My Pharmacy is not a patient-management system, electronic medical-record system or clinical decision-support system. The App is not designed to maintain patient profiles, diagnoses, medical histories, treatment records, doctor records, patient prescriptions or individual medication histories.
A "prescription required" setting, where present, is a product-level attribute only. It does not represent or store a patient's prescription.
5. Local Storage
Core operational information is stored in a local SQLite database on the user's Android device. The Developer does not operate a cloud database or online account system for the pharmacy data created in the normal use of the App.
The Developer does not routinely receive, monitor or have remote access to the user's local pharmacy database.
6. How Local Data Is Used
Local data is processed by the App to provide functions such as:
- Product, batch, supplier and manufacturer management.
- FEFO (First-Expired-First-Out) stock allocation.
- Purchases, sales, held carts, refunds and inventory updates.
- Expiry tracking, stock valuation and stock adjustments.
- Cash shift reconciliation.
- Sales and margin reporting.
- Receipt, voucher, summary and report printing.
- JSON backup/restore and supported CSV import/export.
The Developer does not intentionally use the locally stored pharmacy records for behavioral advertising, customer profiling or marketing.
7. Payment Information
The App may record a payment method label such as Cash, Card or UPI/Digital together with transaction amounts for business record-keeping.
My Pharmacy does not itself process card or UPI payments and is not a bank, payment gateway or financial institution. The App is not intended to collect card numbers, CVV/security codes, card PINs, banking passwords, UPI PINs or similar payment authentication credentials.
8. Printing and Local Network Communication
My Pharmacy supports ESC/POS thermal printing over TCP. When the user initiates printing, relevant receipt, purchase voucher, cash shift summary or report data is transmitted from the Android device to the printer configured by the user.
The Developer does not receive or store the information sent to the user's printer. Users are responsible for the security of their local network and printer.
9. Backup, Restore, Import and Export
The App may create JSON backups and supported CSV imports/exports at the user's direction. These files are controlled by the user and may contain pharmacy business information, including optional customer name or phone information if such information exists in relevant sales records.
The Developer does not automatically receive or upload these files. If the user stores or shares them using a third-party storage provider, messaging service, file manager, computer or other service, that third party's own privacy and security practices apply.
10. Advertising and Analytics
The App is not designed to use the local pharmacy database for advertising, profiling or marketing. If a future version introduces third-party analytics, advertising, cloud services or other data collection, this policy and applicable Google Play disclosures will be updated as appropriate.
11. Data Retention and Deletion
Because the primary database is stored locally, information generally remains on the device until the user deletes records, clears the App's data, uninstalls the App, resets or replaces the device, or otherwise overwrites the database.
Exported JSON or CSV files may continue to exist wherever the user has chosen to store them. The user is responsible for managing and deleting those copies.
12. Security
The App is designed to keep its core operational data on the user's device. However, no electronic storage system, device or network can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are responsible for protecting their device, backups, exported files, printer and local network. Appropriate measures may include device screen locking, operating-system updates, secure storage practices and regular independent backups.
13. Children's Privacy
My Pharmacy is a business application intended primarily for pharmacy owners, operators and staff. It is not designed as a service directed to children.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the App, its features, applicable requirements or data-handling practices. The effective date shown at the top of this policy indicates the current version.
Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing or using My Pharmacy, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Purpose of the App
My Pharmacy is provided as a pharmacy management and POS tool for products, stock, batches, purchases, sales, suppliers, manufacturers, cash shifts, reports, refunds, expiry management, printing and related business operations.
3. User Responsibility
The user is responsible for the accuracy, legality and appropriateness of information entered into the App, including:
- Product, barcode and pack information.
- Batch numbers, stock quantities and expiry dates.
- Purchase costs, selling prices, taxes and discounts.
- Supplier and manufacturer information.
- Sales, refunds and payment-method records.

4. No Medical Advice
The App does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment recommendations, prescribing services or professional medical advice. A product's prescription-required flag is an inventory/product attribute and must not be treated as clinical or legal advice.
Users must independently verify medicines, batches, quantities, expiry dates, prescription requirements and other information before relying on it.
5. FEFO and Inventory Calculations
The App may use FEFO (First-Expired-First-Out) logic to allocate stock. Results depend on the correctness and completeness of the batch, expiry and quantity information entered into the App.
The user remains responsible for checking actual physical stock and confirming that inventory records are correct.
6. Reports, Taxes and Financial Information
Sales totals, discounts, taxes, COGS, margins, cash reconciliation and other calculations are provided for convenience. They are not professional accounting, tax or financial advice.
Users should verify financial information and obtain professional advice where appropriate.
7. Backup Responsibility
Users are strongly encouraged to create regular backups and to keep independent copies of important business records. The App's local-first design means the Developer generally does not maintain a cloud copy that can be recovered on the user's behalf.
8. Printing and Third-Party Devices
Printer compatibility, local network availability and printing results can vary between devices and printer models. The Developer does not guarantee compatibility with every ESC/POS printer, network configuration, Android device or third-party service.
9. No Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, My Pharmacy is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory.
The Developer does not guarantee that:
- The App will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
- All information or calculations will always be accurate.
- Data will never be lost, corrupted or deleted.
- Every printer or device will be compatible.
- The App will satisfy every pharmacy, legal, tax, accounting or regulatory requirement.
- The App will be suitable for every business purpose or workflow.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or other damages arising from or relating to the use of, inability to use, or reliance upon My Pharmacy.
This includes, without limitation, loss or damage involving:
- Business, inventory, sales, purchase or supplier records.
- Profits, revenue, goodwill or business interruption.
- Incorrect quantities, batch allocations, expiry information, prices, taxes or discounts.
- Incorrect reports, cash reconciliation or financial calculations.
- Expired, missing, incorrectly recorded or incorrectly sold products.
- Refund discrepancies or incorrect stock restoration.
- Device failure, storage failure, database corruption or operating-system problems.
- Loss, theft or unauthorized access to a device.
- Failed, missing, damaged or incorrectly restored backups.
- Incorrect or unintended data imports or exports.
- Printer, network or third-party service failures.
- User error or incorrect data entry.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
11. Third-Party Services
The App may interact with Android system services, printers, local networks, file-storage providers or other third-party services selected by the user. Those third parties are governed by their own terms, privacy policies and security practices.
The Developer is not responsible for the availability, privacy, security, reliability or operation of third-party services, devices or networks.
12. App Changes and Availability
The Developer may modify, add, remove, suspend or discontinue features of the App at any time. Updates may change how certain functions operate.
13. Termination of Use
Users may stop using the App at any time. Removing the App may also remove locally stored data depending on Android behavior and the user's backup practices.
14. Changes to These Terms
These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after updated terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are subject to applicable law. Any rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited remain unaffected.
